This year, SMSANZ will be organising it's first Overseas CIP project - Beyond Borders. We are in the process of planning a trip to Thailand, where we will run a clinic and engage the locals in simple health education sessions in the villages of Chiang Mai. The aim of this trip would be to expose and train our members to be familiar with the workings of a rural medical clinic, by allowing our participants to work with us through the planning and execution phases of this project.
We are looking for a group of approximately 20 volunteers to participate in this trip. The details for the trip are as follows:
Dates: 13 -14 December 2018 (Training workshop in Singapore), 15 -20 December 2018 (Trip to Thailand)
Location: Mae Gone Village, Chiang Mai, Thailand (Working with Sukjai Orphanage)
Estimated Costs of Trip: Total costs of trip including return flights by Scoot are estimated as $691 as of 8/6/2018. The estimated cost breakdown of the trip is as follows: $300 (Accommodation, Transport, Food) and $391 (Flight Ticket by Scoot)
Application for the trip opens on 20th July 2018 (Tentative Date)
