Project iRemember is back and we’re excited to continue this collaboration with NUS :) This healthcare project is focused on prevention and early detection of dementia and geriatric depression. There will be door-to-door publicity and a public exhibition to raise awareness, an annual health screening as well as follow-up sessions for our elderly to be socially and mentally engaged in the long run.
Join us as a volunteer to gain first-hand experience interacting with the elderly and administering cognitive and physical tests, as well as making like-minded friends from other schools and faculties! As a volunteer, you will have the chance to educate the public about dementia and geriatric depression in a public exhibition setting, as well as administer cognitive tests (e.g MMSE) and physical tests (for frailty, etc) as part of the screening.
24/25 Nov 2018 (Door-to-door publicity/exhibition) and 1/2 Dec 2018 (screening).
Volunteers will be expected to commit on at least 1 door-to-door publicity/exhibition day and 1 screening day. There will also be a compulsory volunteer training session (date TBC sometime in Nov) before the screening date.
